AI is attractive because it sounds current and ambitious. But some students are better served by a Data Science route, while others need an Analytics pathway that focuses more on reporting, business questions, and tool-based decision support.

Three useful filters to start with

1. How comfortable is the student with math and statistics?
2. Do they enjoy building, modeling, or explaining decisions to stakeholders?
3. Are they ready for heavier coding, or would a more applied route create faster confidence?

Use the first consultation to narrow the path

The goal is not to choose the final job title on day one. The goal is to identify which style of learning and problem-solving the student can sustain well.
